Інтенція, ретенція, протенція як механізми усвідомлення феноменів часу

Abstract

Relevance. The problem of the sensation of time speeding up has gained popularity in recent years. The question of the possibilities of consciousness, the mechanisms by which consciousness connects with being in all its modes and discourses, taking into account the temporal mode, the transcendental layer of consciousness, remains relevant. We also put retention and protention on a par with the leading functionality of consciousness, intentionality, because we analyze the latter not as temporal forms, but as mechanisms for the awareness of time phenomena, so as not to fall into the trap of combining consciousness with time. The purpose of our research, based on the phenomenological philosophy of Brentano and Husserl, is to analyze intention, retention and protention not as separate heterogeneous forms, where intentionality is a property of consciousness, and retention and protention are forms of time, but as equivalent mechanisms of awareness of time phenomena, which arise from the concept of the «transcendental subject» that universalizes temporal flows. Results. We turned to Brentano’s phenomenological philosophy as presented by his famous student Husserl in order to actualize in modern times such mechanisms of awareness of time phenomena as intention, retention and protention. Through the prism of intention, retention and protention as mechanisms of time awareness within the «transcendental subject», the boundaries of the arrangement of temporal phenomena and the objective temporal state of being become apparent. The main mechanisms of awareness of time phenomena in our modernity have an accentuated significance not only in phenomenology as a direction, but also in scientific and cultural discourses in general. Conclusions. In contrast to the too abstract or, conversely, anthropological view of the circulation of time, it is more correct to define the concepts of retention and protention, partly «now», as functional mechanisms for the awareness of temporal phenomenal flows within the «transcendental subject». Intention remains a property of consciousness and, together with retention and protention, are mechanisms for the awareness of time phenomena. Intentionality and unity of consciousness act as the phenomenological core of all phenomenological, including temporal, flows within the «transcendental subject». An example illustrating the action of the mechanisms of awareness of time flow and the stream of consciousness are the novels of the series «In Search of Lost Time» by M. Proust.

Актуальність. Проблема відчуття пришвидшення часу в останні роки набула популярності. Питання про можливості свідомості, механізми, якими свідомість сполучається з буттям в усіх його модусах і дискурсах, враховуючи часовий модус, трансцендентальний шар свідомості, зберігає свою актуальність. Ми ставимо в один ряд з провідним функціоналом свідомості інтенційністю також ретенцію і протенцію, тому що аналізуємо останні не як часові форми, а як механізми усвідомлення феноменів часу, щоб не потрапити у пастку поєднання свідомості з часом. Мета нашого дослідження, спираючись на феноменологічну філософію Брентано і Гуссерля, проаналізувати інтенцію, ретенцію, протенцію не як окремі різнорідні форми, де інтенційність є властивістю свідомості, а ретенція і протенція є формами часу, а як рівноцінні механізми усвідомлення феноменів часу, які виходять з універсалізуючого темпоральні потоки концепту «трансцендентального суб’єкта». Результати. Ми звернулись до феноменологічної філософії Брентано у викладі його відомого учня Гуссерля, щоб актуалізувати у сучасності такі механізми усвідомлення феноменів часу, як інтенція, ретенція, протенція. Крізь призму інтенції, ретенції, протенції як механізмів усвідомлення часу всередині «трансцендентального суб’єкта» стають наявними межі внутрішнього облаштування темпоральних феноменів та об’єктивного буттєвого часового стану. Основні механізми усвідомлення феноменів часу в нашій сучасності мають акцентовану значущість не лише у феноменології як напрямку, але й науковому, культурному дискурсах взагалі. Висновки. На відміну від занадто абстрактного або, навпаки, антропологічного погляду на циркуляцію часу, правильніше визначати концепти ретенції та протенції, частково «тепер», як функціональні механізми усвідомлення часових феноменальних потоків всередині «трансцендентального суб’єкта». Інтенція залишається властивістю свідомості і водночас з ретенцією і протенцією є механізмами усвідомлення феноменів часу. Інтенційність та єдність свідомості виступають як феноменологічне ядро усіх феноменологічних, в тому числі часових, потоків всередині «трансцендентального суб’єкта». Прикладом, що ілюструє дію механізмів усвідомлення часового потоку та потоку свідомості, є романи серії «У пошуках втраченого часу» М. Пруста.
