Hazardous conditions of metallurgical production represent extreme conditions for workers, have a direct impact on the functional systems of the body, change the homeostasis, neuro-humoral regulation therein, lead to pathological changes in the oral cavity and require further development of comprehensive programs for the prevention of major dental diseases. The aim of the study was the clinical and laboratory evaluation of the effectiveness of the integrated prevention of dental diseases among workers in the metallurgical industry. Materials and
methods. 57 workers were selected of metallurgical combine age 30-40 years (basic group - 29 people, the comparison group - 28 people). Patients of the main group, apart from the basic therapy additionally received several times a year, a specially designed therapeutic complex, which included adaptogenic, antioxidant regulating microbiocaenosis drugs and micronutrients. Results. Conclusions. It is shown that adverse factors of metallurgical production cause depletion of antimicrobial and antioxidant protection of the oral cavity, resulting in the observed enhancement reproduction of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microflora, as well as the intensification peroxide oxidation of lipids. Comprehensive prevention resulted in the main group working to improve the performance of hard tissues of teeth, periodontal
tissues, oral hygiene, sustainable to reduction in the intensity of lipid peroxidation and reproduction of pathogenic organisms, as well as an increase in the physiological activity of the enzymes of antioxidant protection and non-specific antimicrobial protection in the oral cavity.
