In our pilot study was found that threshold diode laser photocoagulation is more traumatic - affected area of
retina is thinned, the structural elements are almost not visualized. Whereas after high-frequency electric welding
of biological tissue thickness around impact zone and zone itself remains unchanged, morphological changes of
retina are minimal.
