Radioprotectors: synthetic and phytopreparations

Abstract

Recently, the problem of the effects of radiation on the human body has become especially acute: the Chernobyl accident, the Fukushima disaster, the increased possibility of blowing up the Zaporizka nuclear power station, general tension in the world - all of this has raised the issue not only and not so much about the correction of the consequences of radiation, but about the possibility of protection these consequences. It is always better to prevent defeat than to try to neutralize its consequences. Therefore, the search for substances with a radioprotective effect becomes even more urgent. Among such substances, special attention is paid to herbal medicines, which, compared to synthetic drugs, have less toxicity, a wide spectrum of action and a mild, prolonged effect. Our study is devoted to the analysis and comparison of the radioprotective capabilities of synthetic and herbal drugs.
