| dc.description.abstract | Healthy skin serves as a reliable barrier; however, aggressive environmental factors, stress, and the use of harsh cleansing agents disrupt the protective epidermal layer. This creates conditions for chronic microinflammation, which leads to the degradation of collagen fibers. Furthermore, in patients with atopic dermatitis, skin dryness often progresses to xerosis. Skin xerosis is a common pathological condition characterized by impaired hydrolipid balance and transepidermal water loss. Given its chronic nature and the risk of micro-fissures, there is a growing demand for safe products based on medicinal plant raw materials (MPRM) capable of restoring the protective barrier without the side effects associated with synthetic drugs. The aim of the study was to develop the composition of a herbal mix and conduct its subsequent pharmacognostic and phytochemical analysis to justify its application in xerosis therapy. | en |
