Вплив залізодефіцитної анемії на когнітивний розвиток у дітей

Abstract

Залізодефіцитна анемія є найпоширенішою формою анемії у світі та важливим фактором ризику порушення розвитку дітей. Метою роботи було вивчення сучасних наукових даних щодо впливу залізодефіцитної анемії на когнітивний розвиток дітей та ефективності терапії препаратами заліза. Встановлено, що анемія асоціюється зі зниженням показників уваги, пам’яті та мовленнєвих функцій. Своєчасна корекція дефіциту заліза покращує когнітивні функції.

Iron deficiency anemia is the most common form of anemia worldwide and is an important risk factor for impaired child development. The aim of this study was to analyze current scientific data regarding the impact of iron deficiency anemia on cognitive development in children and the effectiveness of iron therapy. Children with anemia demonstrate lower cognitive performance, particularly in speech, executive functions, and motor development. Timely iron supplementation improves cognitive indicators, although prolonged deficiency may lead to long-term neurological consequences.
