dc.description.abstract The purpose of the master's thesis: to isolate and study the quantitative and qualitative composition of curcuminoids from the LRS of turmeric roots ; to produce a dosage form using the isolated compounds , to investigate its anti-inflammatory activity, to compare dosage forms with isolated curcuminoids and commercial ones in terms of their activity. The master's thesis was completed at the Department of General and Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy, contains an introduction, fore chapters, a conclusion, a list of literature from 71 items, of which 71 foreign . The total volume of the work consists of 47 pages. printed text, which presents 4 drawings and 2 tables. Kotby 's Master's thesis Badr Eddina is dedicated to studying the antiinflammatory activity of active compounds from turmeric MPRM and the safety of therapy in a model of induced arthritis using laboratory animals, female mice and rats, as well as comparing the therapeutic activity of isolated curcuminoids from plant extract. Curcumin and its derivatives were obtained by extraction from turmeric root powder . Chemically pure curcumin substance was obtained from ACROS Organics (curcumin 98+%) and subjected to quantitative analysis by HPLC before use in in vitro or in Extract analyses were performed using an Agilent 1100 HPLC system with ChemStation software for system control and data acquisition ( Agilent Technologies ). Raw extract turmeric was obtained by adding methanol (1.8 L) to turmeric powder (500 g). Extraction was carried out at 25° C for 24 hours. After this mixture filtered. Next washed raw material with methanol. Solvent from the combined filtrate deleted under vacuum using a rotary evaporator volume 20 l. Received remainder after vacuum drying weighed 47.5g (9.5%). Curcuminoid double faction turmeric was prepared by extraction with n-hexane. For this, turmeric powder (1 kg) and n-hexane (3.5 L) were mixed at 25 °C for 24 h. The mixture filtered . Washed with hexane dry remainder after drying under extractor hood for nights was extracted with methanol (3.5 L). The methanol was mixed with the dry residue , filtered , and the residue washed with methanol. The solvent from the combined filtrate removed , residue left under vacuum overnight . The residue was redissolved in methanol , then dried under vacuum. Placed in a vacuum chamber oven at 45 ° C, for at least 48 hours. Exit factions curcuminoids was 31.3 g (3.1%). en
