dc.description.abstract Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic endocrine disorder characterized by insulin resistance and relative insulin deficiency. T2DM represents a serious global public health issue, with rapidly increasing prevalence in many countries. According to the WHO, the number of people with T2DM continues to grow annually, which is linked to sedentary lifestyles, unhealthy diets, stress, and population aging. Despite the availability of effective synthetic hypoglycemic agents, not all patients are able to use them consistently due to high costs, side effects, or coexisting medical conditions. Therefore, interest in alternative and complementary treatment methods, particularly herbal therapy, is increasing. uk_UA
