Менеджмент та лідерство як основа для успішного управління фармацевтичною компанією в умовах економічної нестабільності

Abstract

In the modern context of economic instability, pharmaceutical companies face the need for rapid adaptation to change, enhancement of managerial efficiency, and ensuring sustainable development. Traditional management models are increasingly giving way to leadership-oriented approaches capable of activating human potential, increasing employee motivation, and enhancing organizational flexibility. Therefore, studying the role of management and leadership as key components of successful governance in pharmaceutical enterprises under crisis conditions is of particular relevance. Purpose of the study. To determine the impact of leadership on the effectiveness of an organization’s management system using the example of a pharmaceutical enterprise in the Southern region. Main findings. The article presents a comparative analysis of the concepts of “management” and “leadership,” highlighting their functional differences and complementary roles. Key leadership qualities that contribute to effective management—such as resourcefulness, prudence, restraint, and emotional intelligence—are outlined. The analysis includes various classifications of leadership, including the approach proposed by V. Pugachov, as well as different leadership styles. The empirical part is based on a survey of 55 employees of a pharmaceutical organization, which revealed a high level of trust in the manager and confirmed the significance of his leadership competencies. An analysis of the company’s financial indicators for 2023–2025 demonstrated positive revenue dynamics, reduced losses, and lower financial liabilities following changes in leadership. The study also emphasizes the importance of anti-crisis and HR decisions that contributed to overcoming turbulence and initiating recovery processes. Conclusions. The findings indicate that the combination of effective management and leadership is critical for the stable operation of a pharmaceutical enterprise under conditions of uncertainty. The leadership competencies of the manager enhanced communication quality, fostered employee engagement, strengthened organizational adaptability, and improved financial performance. Further research should focus on identifying specific leadership models that most effectively support economic performance and the long-term competitiveness of pharmaceutical companies.

У сучасних умовах економічної нестабільності фармацевтичні компанії стикаються з необхідністю швидкої адаптації до змін, підвищення ефективності управління та забезпечення стійкого розвитку. Традиційні управлінські моделі поступаються місцем лідерським підходам, які здатні активізувати людський потенціал, підвищити мотивацію персоналу та забезпечити гнучкість організації. Саме тому актуальним є дослідження ролі менеджменту та лідерства як ключових елементів успішного управління фармацевтичним підприємством у кризових умовах. Мета роботи. Визначити влив лідерства на дієвість системи менеджменту організації на прикладі фармацевтичного підприємства в Південному регіоні. Виклад основного матеріалу.У статті представлено порівняльний аналіз понять «менеджмент» і «лідерство», виокремлено їхні функціональні відмінності та взаємодоповнення. Окреслено ключові лідерські якості, що сприяють результативності управління, зокрема кмітливість, розсудливість, стриманість та емоційний інтелект. Наведено аналіз класифікацій лідерства, включно з підходом В. Пугачова, та стилів управління. Емпірична частина включає результати анкетування 55 працівників фармацевтичної організації, які виявили високий рівень довіри до керівника та підтвердили значущість його лідерських компетенцій. Здійснено аналіз фінансових показників компанії у 2023–2025 рр., що засвідчив позитивну динаміку доходу, скорочення збитків та зменшення боргових зобов’язань після зміни керівництва. Окремо підкреслено важливість антикризових та кадрових рішень, що сприяли подоланню турбулентності та запуску процесів відновлення. Висновки. Результати дослідження показали, що поєднання ефективного менеджменту та лідерства є критичним для стабільного функціонування фармацевтичного підприємства в умовах невизначеності. Лідерські компетенції керівника зумовили підвищення якості комунікації, мобілізацію персоналу, посилення адаптивності організації та покращення фінансових показників. Подальші дослідження доцільно спрямувати на визначення конкретних лідерських моделей, які найбільш ефективно підтримують економічну результативність і конкурентоспроможність фармацевтичних компаній у довгостроковій перспективі.
