Стаття присвячена історії створення та розвитку музею судової медицини, який є одним із найстаріших в Україні. Висвітлено етапи становлення кафедри судової медицини від часу її заснування у 1841 році та
формування експозиції музею, що стала важливим навчальним і науковим осередком. Описано структуру колекції, до якої входять морфологічні препарати, інструменти, знаряддя злочинів, фотоматеріали й навчальні моделі, які широко використовуються у підготовці студентів. Наголошено на значенні музею як складової освітнього процесу, що сприяє поглибленню знань, розвитку клінічного мислення й формуванню професійної культури майбутніх лікарів. Відзначено культурну та історичну цінність музею, як частини медичної спадщини України.
This article is devoted to the history of the creation and development of the Museum of Forensic Medicine, one of the oldest in Ukraine. It highlights the stages of development of the Department of Forensic Medicine since its foundation in 1841and the formation of the museum's exhibition, which has become an important educational and scientific center. The structure of the collection is described, which includes morphological preparations, instruments, murder weapons, photographic materials and educational models that are widely used in the training of students. The importance of the museum as a component of the educational process is emphasized,
contributing to the deepening of knowledge, the development of clinical thinking and the formation of the professional culture of future doctors. The cultural and historical value of the museum as part of Ukraine's medical heritage is noted.
