dc.description.abstract The problem of sleep disorders and increased nervous excitability is relevant for modern society around the world, and Ukraine is not a big country. The fast pace of life, constant stress, information overload and socio-economic factors contribute to the growth of demand for hypnotics and sedatives. These drugs, designed to facilitate falling asleep, deepen sleep and reduce anxiety, assume an important role in pharmacotherapy, however, their use is closely associated with low challenges, including the risk of disease, side effects and withdrawal problems. The article aims to reveal the current state of the market of hypnotics and sedatives in Ukraine, analyzing availability, regulatory aspects, consumption trends, and sociomedical research on their use. Understanding these aspects is the basis for forming a sound healthcare strategy aimed at ensuring the effective and safe use of these important medicines. uk_UA
