Короткий опис (реферат):
Mistreatment during facility-based childbirth is a recognized barrier to maternal and child health,
with global estimates indicating that up to one-third of women experience some form of
disrespect or abuse.1 The drivers are multifaceted, including healthcare provider training,
availability of resources, and societal attitudes shaped by race, class, and other factors.2
Regional military conflict and its associated dangerous and unpredictable conditions affect
psychological stress of both medical providers and birthing women.3 The impact of disaster and
violence on the delivery of respectful maternity care has not been closely examined. The purpose
of this study was to evaluate the state of obstetrical care in a maternity hospital in Odesa,
Ukraine during a time of war, especially perceptions of respectful and disrespectful care.
