dc.description.abstract We read with great interest the article by Xiaohong Guo “Predictive Factors for Postoperative Cerebrospinal Fluid Drainage in Neurosurgical Management of Intracranial Aneurysms” published in World Neurosurgery. 1 The author presented valuable data on predictors of the need for postoperative cerebrospinal fluid drainage in patients with intracranial aneurysms, which undoubtedly contributes to improving the quality of neurosurgical care. The author indicates that advanced age, high Hunt-Hess grade, prolonged operative time, and intraoperative aneurysm rupture were statistically significant predictors of postoperative cerebrospinal fluid drainage in patients with intracranial aneurysms. According to the author, the extent of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) did not independently predict the need for postoperative lumbar drainage (LD), which contradicts previously published data. en
