dc.description.abstract Ukraine is one of the least water-supplied countries in Europe. The Strategy for Environmental Security and Adaptation to Climate Change for the period up to 2030 [1] states: in the South and Southeast, the quality of surface water will deteriorate, which will require both additional water purification measures and possible water transportation to these regions. In case of insufficient surface water, it is necessary to attract water from deep underground aquifers. In case of insufficient recharge of adjacent water bodies from the Dnipro River, measures to limit water supply may be introduced. The Ukrainian Black Sea coast is the most vulnerable to the risk of water scarcity, as it uses surface water and is the most visited by tourists. The outdated infrastructure of water supply and wastewater systems in this region also contributes to increasing threats. uk_UA
