Chapter 1. Healthcare management using artificial intelligence

Abstract

The focus of the project is on creating and systematically justifying theoretical and methodological principles, along with providing recommendations for establishing information and analytical infrastructure to manage the progress of medical institutions through the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI). The analysis covers contemporary and international research dedicated to exploring the scientific foundations of studying the information–analytical aspect of development. A universal approach to building a stable structural framework of both a separate medical institution and a structure with a more complex functional role is proposed. An analysis and evaluation of the benefits of using AI, as well as the risks that may arise after the introduction of AI in medicine, has been carried out. A number of dangers that may accompany the development of science in this area are described. Technological advancements, which form the basis for the creation and management of AI in medical institutions, allow for the integration of various types of connections based on modern decision-making methods and procedures. The utilization of AI to establish integrated data and analytical management systems has become a requisite factor for enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of the management system of medical institutions. The subject of the study is the theoretical-methodical and applied underpinnings of the process of establishing information–analytic support for sustainable development management with the help of AI in medical institutions.
