Актуальність проблеми. Принципові відмінності між релігією і наукою у предметних
областях, а також у шляхах пошуку істини на тлі перманентного прагнення людини до якомога більш широкого і глибокого знання обумовили зростання актуальності досліджень, що
спрямовуються на розробку способів узгодження наукових і релігійних епістемологічних програм у єдиному пошуковому руслі. Мета статті – обґрунтування можливості несуперечливого і продуктивного співрозвитку науки і релігії через порівняльний аналіз цих культурних
галузей за низкою критеріїв епістемологічного профілю.
Методи дослідження: компаративістський аналіз – як підстава дослідження особливостей предметних областей та фундаментальних основ визнання і прийняття істини, що
притаманні науковому і релігійному типам пізнання, а також виявлення епістемологічних
властивостей науки і релігії, які не суперечать одна одній або в принципі є спільними; епістемологічне моделювання – як базис розробки комплексного (синергійного) підходу, у якому було
б враховано і органічно узгоджено гносеологічні потенції науки й релігії.
Результати дослідження. Обґрунтовано можливість коеволюційного становлення науки
і релігії. Через порівняльний аналіз наукової та релігійної сфер на підставі їхніх предметних
областей показано, що оскільки наука є орієнтованою на сфери реальності, які відкривається
емпірично (природну, культурно-соціальну, особистісно-діяльнісну), а релігія – на позадосвідну
(метафізичну) сферу, то це мінімізує їхню суперечливість, більш того, підготовлює основу
для розробки спільного, взаємозбагачуючого дослідницького шляху у розвідках щодо проблематики фундаментального рівня. Зіставлення науки та релігії за критерієм базової основи
визнання та прийняття істини дозволило прояснити потенції синергійного русла їхнього розвитку, що фундоване принципом «обґрунтування віри» (у видах підтримки знання силою віри
та зміцнення фідеального аргументами розуму), тобто взаємопроникнення раціонального
і того, що відкривається через віру.
Relevance of the problem. The fundamental differences between religion and science in subject
areas, as well as in the ways of searching for truth in the context of a person’s permanent desire
for the widest and deepest knowledge possible, have led to an increase in the relevance of research
aimed at developing ways to harmonize scientific and religious epistemological programs in a unified
research framework. The purpose of the article is to justify the possibility of the non-contradictory
and productive co-development of science and religion through a comparative analysis of these
cultural branches according to a number of epistemological criteria.
Research methods: comparative analysis – as a basis for studying the features of subject areas
and the fundamental principles of recognition and acceptance of truth inherent in scientific and religious
types of knowledge, as well as identifying epistemological properties of science and religion that
do not contradict each other or are common to both; epistemological modelling – as a basis for
developing a comprehensive (synergistic) approach, that would take into account and organically
harmonize the epistemological potentials of science and religion.
Research results. The possibility of coevolutionary formation of science and religion is justified.
Through a comparative analysis of scientific and religious spheres on the basis of their subject areas, it
is shown that since science is oriented towards spheres of reality that are revealed empirically (natural,
cultural-social, personal-activity domains), and religion – towards the extra-empirical (metaphysical)
sphere, this minimizes their contradictions, moreover, it prepares the basis for developing a common,
mutually enriching research path in explorations of foundational issues. The comparison of science
and religion according to the criterion of the basis of recognition and acceptance of truth allowed to
clarify the potential of the synergistic direction of their development, which is based on the principle
of “justification of faith” (in the forms of supporting knowledge by the power of faith and strengthening
the fideal with the arguments of reason), that is, the interpermeation of rationality and faith.
