dc.description.abstract Currently, the problem of acute kidney damage (AKI) is being actively discussed all over the world. There are a large number of scientific papers confirming the significant prevalence of AKI, high mortality and one of the most important causes of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Epidemiological studies conducted in Scotland and Northern California showed that the incidence of acute kidney damage (AKI) was 2.1 thousand and 3.8 thousand per million population, respectively. In developed countries, AKI develops in 3–10% of hospitalized patients and approximately 2 million people die from AKI every year. en
