The article is presents results of the changes pf cortisol level in patients with COVID-
19 and cognitive disorders. It was established increase the main marker of stress – cortisol
relative to the physiological norm in all age groups of patients who suffered from COVID-19
and were hospitalized. In the age group 40-50 years, the cortisol level increased on the first day
in men on 1.4 times (p˂0.05) and in women on 1.2 times (p˂0.05) compared to the physiological
norm. Therefore, cortisol can be considered a diagnostically significant trigger for the
development of cognitive disorders, which will subsequently lead to drastic changes in the
central nervous system. |
