У витоків неврології у структурі морської медицини (До 100 - річчя з дня народження видатного невролога Юрія Львовича Курако)

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the centenary of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honored Worker of the Higher School of Ukraine, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine, Professor Yuri Lvovich Kurako, a prominent neurologist who worked within the walls of the Odessa National medical university (former: N. I. Pirogov Odessa medical institute) for more than half a century, and headed the Department of nervous diseases for more than 30 years. The authors tried to consider the scientific, pedagogical, and medical activities related to various aspects of marine medicine, which he was engaged in during his work within the walls of the institute/university. The beginning of his scientific and pedagogical activities coincided with the rapid development of the sea and river fleet in the country. He was in the forefront of medical scientists at the university actively participating in resolving pressing issues of marine medicine due to the emerging need for a scientific approach in medical support for ships, bases, ports, etc. For a number of years, Yu. L. Kurako headed the republican problem commission and the OMI problem commission “Physiology and pathology of human adaptation to the conditions of the World Ocean.” Work on this scientific topic is a logical development of the ideas of the famous vegetologist Academician G. I. Markelov. YL Kurako Formulated the concept of neuro - vegetative adaptation - as a complex multimodal process with parity participation of the somatic and autonomic nervous systems, as well as the mental sphere of a person. He focused on the peculiarities of the psychovegetative characteristics of the studied population, depending on the clinical course of the adaptation process.

Стаття присвячена сторіччю з дня народження доктора медичних наук, заслуженого працівника вищої школи України, лауреата Державної премії України професора Юрія Львовича Курако - видатного невролога, який понад півстоліття пропрацював у стінах Одеського національного медичного університету (ОНМедУ. Раніше – Одеський медичний інститут ім. М. І. Пирогова) і понад 30 років керував кафедрою нервових хвороб. Автори спробували розглянути науковo - педагогічну та лікарську діяльність вченого, пов'язану з різними аспектами морської медицини, якою він займався упродовж своєї роботи у стінах інституту. Початок його науково-педагогічної діяльності збігся з бурхливим розвитком морського та річкового флоту в країні, тому ювіляр був у перших рядах вчених - медиків, що активно брали участь у вирішенні актуальних питань морської медицини через необхідність наукового підходу в медичному забезпеченні осіб плавскладу, судів, баз, працівників портової інфраструктури. Протягом десятиріч Ю. Л. Курако очолював республіканську проблемну комісію та проблемну комісію Одеського медичного інституту «Фізіологія та патологія адаптації людини до умов Світового океану». Робота з цієї наукової тематики - логічний розвиток ідей відомого вегетолога академіка Г. І. Маркелова. Ю. Л. Курако сформулював концепцію нейрон - вегетативної адаптації як комплексного полімодального процесу з паритетною участю соматичної та вегетативної нервових систем, а також психічної сфери людини та акцентував увагу на особливостях психовегетативних характеристик дослідженого контингенту залежно від клінічного перебігу адаптаційного процесу.
