Neuropsychiatric diseases, neuroses – occupy a leading place in
the list of common diseases of mankind. Stress, illness, poor diet and unhealthy
lifestyles are all the foundations of such diseases. The above determines the relevance
of the development and introduction to the market of new drugs aimed at
pharmacotherapy and pharmacocorrection of these conditions.
The main principle of pharmacocorrection of neuroses is the appointment of
sedatives, anxiolytics, of which the best use of herbal medicines, because they have
fewer side effects. According to the world health organization (WHO), epilepsy is
one of the most common central nervous system (CNS) diseases. Epilepsy is treated
with several methods, the main of which is the use of antiepileptic drugs with specific
mechanisms of action. One of the promising areas of development of drugs for the
treatment of epilepsy is the use of phytotherapeutic agents, which has become the
task of our work. It is known that herbal medicines can affect various links in the
pathogenesis, have a beneficial effect on the CNS as a whole, which significantly
reduces the risk of so-called epileptic personality disorders.
The purpose of the study is development of technology for obtaining an
essential oil extract from O. basilicum, prediction of „drug-like” activity by in silico
methods. |
