dc.description.abstract | This report continues the research work carried out by the Department of Pediatrics №1 Odessa National Medical University, in finding out the optimal ways to prevent a number of chronic diseases associated with geopathogenic zones of the Odessa region . The relevance of the topic is due to a new methodological approach to the study of public health, taking into account Geographic Information Systems (Geographic Information System), or GIS. Geographic information systems are a complex form of mapping software that allows users to visually display input data associated with an assigned project. The visual display of data allows users to see the geographic groups of patient demographics in a new way. Brittni Brown's review [3] on the introduction of GIS technology in US health care emphasizes the importance of visualizing a number of demographics and the ability of the new method to detect clusters of certain diseases. The aim of this study was to study the features of the epidemiology of cystofibrosis (CF) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in the Odessa region based on local GIS information. It is known that specific mutagens for the gene / genomes of cystic fibrosis, acute lymphoblastic and myeloblastic leukemias, lymphogranulomatosis have not been presented yet. Thus, such mutations occur spontaneously and evenly distributed among the population. This paper uses the GIS method in the clinical observation and analysis of the prevalence of cystic fibrosis (CF) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in children in different regions of Odessa region in the period from 2016 to 2021 (t = 5 years). | en |
