Abstract:
Purpose of the study: to establish the features and severity of the action of Cerebrocurin,
Cortexin and Cerebrolysin on histomorphological changes in the myocardium and liver of rats
under conditions of chronic alcohol intoxication.
Materials and methods. In the experiments, 50 white outbred male rats with a body weight
of 180-220 grams and an age of 4.5 months were used. Chronic alcohol intoxication was caused by
daily intragastric administration of the first 10 days – 15 % ethanol solution at a dose of 4 g / kg, the
next 10 days – 15 % ethanol solution at a dose of 6 g / kg, and the next 10 days rats were injected
with 25 % ethanol solution at a dose of 4 g / kg. From day 30, alcoholization was stopped and
experimental therapy with the studied drugs was carried out and observation was continued for
14 days. All rats were divided into 5 groups: 1st group received ethanol for 30 days and
Cerebrocurin at a dose of 0.06 mg / kg from 31 to 44 days; 2nd group received ethanol for 30 days
and Cerebrolysin at a dose of 4 mg / kg from 31 to 44 days; 3rd group received ethanol for 30 days
and from 31 to 44 days – Cortexin at a dose of 0.5 mg / kg; 4th group received ethanol (control) for
30 days; group 5 – Intact (instead of ethanol there was intragastric administration of saline
solution).
