Estuaries and endorheic lakes are particularly vulnerable ecosystems whose
existence depends on the balance of freshwater and seawater inflows, as well
as climatic and anthropogenic factors. In the face of climate change and
increasing economic pressure, their shallowing and degradation have become
a key problem. The hydromineral base of the Kuyalnik estuary in the Black Sea
consists of silt-sulfide peloids, representing a complex and dynamic system of
interaction between the organomineral complex and sources of microbiota. In
this regard, it became necessary to continually monitor the quality of the natural
medicinal resources in the Kuyalnik estuary. The study of peloids after the release
of Black Sea water made it possible to analyze the dynamics of changes in the
physical, chemical, and microbiological indicators of peloids, their influence on
the processes of peloidogenesis, evaluate the results of the measures taken, and
create recommendations for further actions to preserve the unique properties of
natural healing resources.

Introduction and Purpose: In the structure of military injuries, the specific weight of multiple
and combined wounds and injuries has increased significantly. Treatment of modern combat
trauma cannot be separated from rehabilitation measures. Functional assessment tools are
proposed to decide on the application of the rehabilitation route and the referral of a person who
needs rehabilitation to the next stage of rehabilitation assistance. The Functional Independence
Measure (FIM) is one of the methods of testing social and household skills, which is widely
used in rehabilitation medicine and offers a unified system for determining a patient's
independence. The study aimed to assess the possibility of using the functional independence
scale (FIM) as an additional tool for evaluating the effectiveness of rehabilitating servicemen
with combined injuries in the long term.

Mine blast injuries are characterized by multiple blood vessel damage, as well as damage to nerve fibres, muscles and skin. Infection is an additional aggravating factor. One treatment method is cell therapy. A promising direction of this technique is platelet autocryolysate (PAC), an abiotechnological product based on the oligopeptides and growth factors obtained from the patient’s blood platelets. A patient was treated who had suffered a long-term non-healing mine blast wound
of the soft tissues of the left leg. Two secondary surgical debridements were performed, followed by vacuum therapy. The inflammatory process intensified and was complicated by phlebothrombosis of the deep veins of the leg. After two applications of PAC, the wound size decreased, the discharge disappeared, and the wound surface was covered with a dry, loose crust, under which active epithelialization occurred. Using PAС has a positive therapeutic effect in treating long-term,
non-healing blast wounds of the tissues.

Family practice physicians often encounter recurrent upper respiratory tract pathology.
The physician's training involves mastering a course in otolaryngology. Still, this course lacks the necessary detailing concerning age-related features of various structures of the upper respiratory tract, congenital pathology in children, and interdisciplinary issues. The topics of selective disciplines are devoted to detailing highly specialized issues. Elective disciplines in the Otorhinolaryngology cycle are chosen not only by students - future otolaryngologists but also by potential doctors of family medicine, therapy, and pediatrics since the prevalence of ENT pathology among therapeutic and pediatric patients is very high. Therefore, introducing elective disciplines for applicants' interest and practicing doctors of related specialties, forming their professional level, is fully justified

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the changes in motor and muscle activity in the dynamics of the post-traumatic
period in conditions of serotonin-, dopamine- and noradrenergic neurotransmitter systems activity modulation. Experimental trials
were performed on a model of brain trauma of medium severity. Prior to this, measures were taken to activate and suppress the activity
of serotonin-, dopamine- and noradrenergic neurotransmitter systems in animals. The peculiarities of motor and muscle activity were
determined 1, 7, 14, 21, 28 and 35 days after the brain trauma reproduction with rats’ activity of monoaminergic neurotransmitter
systems modulation of rats, the features of motor and muscle activity were determined. The data obtained confirm the motor and
muscle disorders development in rats with brain trauma medium severity starting from the 1st day till the 35th day of the post-traumatic
period. The post-traumatic period is characterized by evident neurological deficits and motor and muscle disorders which
are manifested by muscle weakness, the inability to keep and maintain a natural position, as well as the inability to perform
synchronous coordinated movements. Revealed motor and muscle dysfunctions are persistent and have their maximal expression
during the first 14 days of the post-traumatic period. Serotoninergic and dopaminergic neurotransmitter systems activation in rats with
brain trauma causes the motor and muscle functions of the body restoration and normalization. The authors stressed that serotoninergic
and dopaminergic neurotransmission pathogenetic importance in conditions of traumatic brain damage should be taken into account
when compiling and determining the clinical efficacy of complex pathogenetic therapy schemes for patients with brain trauma.

Babov, K.; Polshchakova, T.; Plakida, A.; Gushcha, S.; Volyanska, V.
After suffering from COVID-19, a large number of patients need respiratory rehabilitation. One of the
methods of rehabilitation is inhalation with salt aerosols.
Objective. Our work aimed to study the effectiveness of inhalations of a dry aerosol of salt precipitated from the mineral
water of the “Teplitsa multidisciplinary sanatorium”, Transcarpathian region of Ukraine.
Material and methods. 30 male patients were examined after suffering from COVID-19. We formed two groups of
patients, control and main, 15 people each. Patients in the control group received inhalation with a dry aerosol of table
salt of the “Aero-M-sol”. In contrast, patients in the main group received a course of inhalations with a dry aerosol of salt
precipitated from the mineral water.
Results and discussion. Under the influence of the rehabilitation complex in both groups, there is a performance
improvement but significant changes are observed only in patients of the main group. The indicator Forced Vital Сapacity1
increased to the greatest extent, which after rehabilitation is significantly higher than in the control group (p<0.05). As
a result, the Tiffeneau index significantly increases in the main group compared to the control group, reaching normal
values. The main effect is associated with a decrease in obstructive complications of the respiratory tract as a result of
a decrease in inflammation. The use of iodine-bromine brines (as in our case) for inhalation in the treatment of respiratory
diseases has been proven to be effective, with systemic effects in the form of decreased IgE and increased IgA in the blood
serum having been noticed.
Conclusions. The use of haloinhalations with MW salts in the rehabilitation of patients after suffering from COVID-19
disease significantly improves the clinical condition of convalescents.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is one of the most common gastric pathologies. Recently, there has been a growing interest in the healing effects of mineral waters (MW). Ninety patients with GERD were under observation. The study used the following methods: anamnestic, clinical, studies of biochemical blood parameters, ultrasonographic studies of the digestive system, fibroesophagogastroduodenoscopy with intragastric pH-metric. After preliminary research, all patients were randomly divided into three groups of 30 people. The control group (group 1) who were prescribed a basic treatment complex-dietary and proton pump inhibitor group drugs. Patients of group 2 in addition to the standard course of treatment received boric highly mineralized bicarbonate sodium water. Patients of group 3 in addition to the basic therapy were prescribed an internal course treatment of highly mineralized sulfate-bicarbonate sodium-magnesium water. The use of the basic complex of treatment for a month in control group did not lead to a significant leveling of signs of dyspeptic and asthenic syndromes. The use of boron highly mineralized sodium bicarbonate water led to a significant leveling of signs of abdominal pain and dyspeptic syndromes, improvement of acid-forming function of the stomach, but no reliable dynamics were observed in eliminating signs of cytolytic, mesenchymal inflammatory and cholestatic syndromes. Application of highly mineralized sulfate-hydrocarbonate sodium magnesium water improves the elimination of dyspepsia and pain syndromes, normalization of the functional state of the liver. The obtained data confirm the prospects of using highly mineralized mineral waters in the complex treatment of GerD patients.
