The impact of information technologies on the personal and professional maturity of students Shanina, O.; Melikova, K.; Boichuk, V.; Stryzhakov, A.; Filimonova, T. The content focuses on students' personal and professional maturity and the key qualities that can help future specialists succeed in modern opportunities. It highlights basic principles of information technologies, including their functions and structuralcomponents, in applying computer learning technologies to develop students' maturity in higher education. Virtual reality is introduced as a new technology for non-contact information interaction, allowing students to experience the illusion of direct presence in real time through a multimedia environment presented on a stereoscopic "screen world". The results from the initial phase of the study confirmed the need to incorporate well-founded pedagogical conditions and a comprehensive system to foster students' personal and professional maturity through the use of information technologies, creating better conditions for development in higher education. Across all criteria, the levels of personal and professional maturity among students in the experimental group, who used information technologies, were significantly higher than those in the control group. This supports the effectiveness of the proposed pedagogical conditions and the system designed for developing students' maturity through information technology integration.

Escaped by Sea: Greek Refugees in Odesa in the Early 1820s Uvarova, O. The Greek Revolution, which broke out in 1821, not only contributed to the outbreak and progression of the so-called Eastern Crisis of the 1820s, but also provoked a new wave of Greek emigration. The persecution endured by Ottoman Greeks forced them to flee and settle in the south of the Russian Empire. Many refugees from Constantinople and the Greek islands arrived in Odesa after crossing the sea. During the years of the Greek Revolution, several institutions were established to address the challenges of settlement and the provision of financial support for these displaced populations. In the initial stages, responsibility for assisting the refugees was assumed by a specially created body, the Committee for Assistance to the Constantinopolitan Greeks Arriving in Odesa. Although its existence was short-lived–lasting only about four months–its activities nonetheless fulfilled the essential task of providing financial aid to Greeks from Constantinople who had arrived in Odesa spontaneously.

Ukraine and the Black Sea: Historical Experience of the Struggle for Security and Statehood in Confrontation with Russian Expansion, Mid-17th –Early 18th centuries Podkupko, T. This presentation is devoted to the analysis of the historical aspects of the Black Sea dimension of Ukrainian statehood and security in the mid-17th to early 18th centuries. It focuses on the struggle for access to the Black Sea as a key factor in shaping Ukraine’s security policy and economic development in the context of confrontation with Russian aggression. The interests of other regional powers are also briefly examined. The paper emphasizes that since the times of Kyivan Rus’, and later during the Cossack-Hetmanate, access to the sea and control over Black Sea communications determined Ukraine’s international status, its ability to conduct foreign trade, and its capacity to ensure strategic security.

Odesa Greeks among the honored citizens: attaining state in the estate-based society of the 19th century Uvarova, O. The article presents the results of the identification of members of the Odesa Greek community who belonged to a special estate (state, social standing) of the Russian Empire – the honored citizens. Based on archival materials, a list was compiled of those Odesa Greeks who personally attained the status of honored citizens, that is, those who were the first in their families to acquire this legal standing through formal petitions to the government. The originality of the study lies in the introduction into scholarly circulation of data derived from the holdings of the State Archive of the Odesa Region, which has made it possible to fill an existing gap in the history of the Greek community of Odesa by identifying lesser-known individuals. The analysis of the ethnic dimension of the social institution of honored citizenship, examined within the estate-based legal framework, has enabled the construction of a social profile of the Greek honored citizens. The overwhelming majority of them were merchants registered in the upper guilds – a prerequisite under the law for obtaining honored citizenship, which facilitated their inclusion in this status, most often on a hereditary basis. The privileges associated with honored citizenship made it attractive to Odesa Greeks during their integration into the estate-based society of the Russian Empire. In turn, the institution of honored citizenship functioned as an imperial attempt to consolidate the commercial and financial elite.

The article highlights the experience of organizing and conducting inclusive patriotic-educational events together with medical students for young people with disabilities. It demonstrates how joint activities contribute to the formation of Ukrainian national identity, the development of empathy among future doctors, and the social integration of persons with disabilities. In the mid-17th centuries, the security, peace, and independence of Ukraine were inextricably linked to the development of foreign relations with various states, with Sweden playing a significant role. Although Sweden never shared a common border with Ukraine, the destinies of both nations are closely intertwined. Despite changes in the foreign policy priorities of both states over time, our historical paths have been deeply connected. Sweden and Ukraine have always been allies in global international politics, with both striving for neutrality, autonomy, and independence.
