Sore throat is one of the most common symptoms, that can occur in patients
with colds, flu, acute respiratory viral infections and many other infectious and
inflammatory diseases. It reducing overall well-being and impairing performance,
causes discomfort so in this case, requires to seek professional help. Many patients
do not go to the doctor, but visit pharmacies to purchase over-the-counter medicines.
The aim of this research was to examine standardised approaches to the
provision of pharmaceutical care to patients with sore throat and to analyse OTC
medicines in detail on the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market.
