3Hydroxymethylpyridinium hexafluorosilicate
(3HMPHFS) in an experiment on rats demonstrated
a high value of caries prevention efficiency, which
exceeds the similar indicator for sodium fluoride.
0.1% solutions of 3HMPHFS in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and isopropyl (IPS) alcohol were prepared. The experiment was divided into three parts,
focusing on certain fragments in the salt structure:
the SiF62 anion, the hydroxymethyl group in position
3, and the pyridine ring. |
